Resource Calendar Issue

Hi Guys

           Having issues with Exchange 2013 Resource calendar mailbox. Room Mailbox created for calendar purpose only. The Resource is continually prompting for password > we have several Resources and the rest of them work fine. When I enable the Resource in AD I can logon as that "user" in OWA but not in Microsoft Outlook. I have noticed that when we are using that Resource it keeps prompting for password

Let me know if you have any suggestions please. Keep in mind all other Resource Mailboxes are working correctly

I have a client with exchange 2013 enterprise cu12 and the server is up to date with windows updates

i would like to install the cu 22 but i understood there are some problems working with the latest updates and cu 22

anyone encountered in any problem?

Exporting mails from Journal Mailbox

Hi, I am looking to export mails from journal mailbox on 2 parameters 
1) Mails sent from a certain email address

2) mails received to a certain address

but unluckily i am unable to do so when i run the search-mailbox command on the journal mailbox with search criteria of user email address it shows me the count, but when i try to run the export-mailbox command with the -contentfilter option adding the email address it does not give me the output in the pst file, the pst file is empty and nothing in it.

Can someone help me in this to get solve this issue.

DAG / Activating database on different node failed

Dear all,

We have (5) exchange servers to our infrastructure. Two of them they are just client access (one on the pr/one on the dr). The other 3 servers are mailbox servers. I am trying to activate the database on the first exchange server using ECP and i am getting the following message:

Mailbox DB01
An Active Manager operation failed. Error: The database action failed. Error: An error occurred while trying to validate the specified database copy for possible activation. Error: prexc1: Database copy 'Mailbox DB01' on Server 'prexc1' component (HighAvailability) state is offline. If you need to activate this copy of the database, you can use Set-ServerComponentState -Component 'HighAvailability' -Status 'Active' and retry Move-ActiveMailboxDatabase. [Database: Mailbox DB01, Server: PREXC2.....

The database now is mounted on PREXC2 and i want to activate it on PREXC1.

Any ideas?

Configure Split Delivery Gsuite-Exchange 2010

HI admin and all,

I have one question about the configure between Gsuite and Exchange 2010.

I follow with document step by step to configure "SPLIT DELIVERY", but i reach the issue "The response from the remote server was:

550 5.7.1 Unable to relay".

OWA gives error externally after ssl changes

My ssl certificate expired recently, so I got a new one, but the server didn't seem to be playing nice with me, so I went into IIS and fiddled with some ssl settings. Eventually I realized that getting the certificate on was rather easy and the real problem was my ignorance. Now however, I am unable to access the owa outside of the server. that is mail.domain.com/owa. It redirects a thousand times, then eventually lands on a 404 not found page. How do I restore access to my owa? What do I need to check?

Hello Folks,

I would like to identify the source Exchange server of all the user mailbox createdin the Exchange 2010 environment?

I used Search-AdminAuditLog -Cmdlets New-Mailbox -StartDate xxxxxx -EndDate xxxxx. But it returns only the group mailboxes. Pls suggest.

Requirement : Move HealthMailboxs

In the process of moving user mailboxes to newly created databases which has been ongoing for a couple of weeks. My question is do I need to move all the HealthMailboxes associated with the older DBs?

I have read mixed comments online that say I dont need (new Healthboxes appear to be created on new DBs) and the opposite - they have to be moved.Running the command below I get a lot of messages "corrupted and inconsistent state":

Renewing certs process

Exchange 2013 on prem - our public cert is expiring on the HUB servers. We also have Citrix netscaler in DMZ that is used for load balancing with same cert. 

Anybody know what the process is...renew on the Exchange servers first and then use same cert on Netscaler or vice versa?

Exchange 2013 with mail app

Hi Guys,

Just a general question but is it possible that you can add shared mailboxes using automapping on the windows 10 mail app, or even add them so that they keep the permissions of the exchange admin centre, a few of my users would prefer to use this but I am hesitant as it would mean they have send as permission to the shared mailbox if I added the account. Please let me know if there might be a solution.

Cannot login to ECP with new certificate

I have just installed a new SSL certificate on our Exchange server and applied it to SMTP and IIS, same as the old one that's about to expire. I did this using ECP. However, now when I try to login to ECP, it just takes me back to the login prompt with no error message. I can still login to OWA using the same account, and the certificate shows up as valid in IIS Manager.

unable to login echange

HI all

we have two domain controller

DC1= with all 5 FSMO

DC2= work as additional dc

after set all exchange server DNS to DC1 IP address and shut down DC2 our exchange user unable to login with  OWA .

is there any setting in exchange for authenticate our exchange user with DC1? is there any setting to point DC1 ?

How can i fix the issue?

Exchange MMC error always happens

Hello,

We've met a big problem.

Our exchange server always stop transport the mail (both interne and externe). And the Toolbox can not be open. It show the error MMC hqs detected an error in a snap in and will unload it, but after, another error message showed.

Type is not resolved for member "Microsoft.Exchange.Configuration.....

Exception Type : System.Runtime.Serialization.SerializationException

We tried to restart the server. After the restart, the exchange serveur worked successfully, but after one day the same problem showed again. Now it always show this problem. And no log was record.

It make me crazy.

Could anyone can help?Please !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

NDR to external domains

I recently had to replace my exchange server operating system. This morning I received a blacklist report from backscatter saying I'm sending NDR to external domains. I definitely don't want that. I believe I've corrected the issue, but what is a quick way to test and see for sure?

Exchange Trusted Subsystem Delegate

Hi,

STATS: Exchange 2013 CU19, on-premises, no DAG

I hope this is a simple fix.... a tech of mine accidentally removed the Exchange Trusted Subsystem and Exchange Server delegation from a user's mailbox via EAC.

How do we get them back on? Is it as easy as just using the Add-MailboxPermission in EMC, or is it more complicated than that?

I compared the permissions under the Security tab on the user's properties with another user, and they still look the same.

I do not know how much impact removing those two items from the user'mailbox will be, but I would feel better having it back on.

Hi,

i am trying to confirm if user received the message in his/her mail box in our Exchange 2013 environment.

i have received these results 

 

my question is

which Event Id will confirm simply that " Emails has been delivered to mailbox" 

this HADISCARD i belied belongs to discard of shadow copy but , how to confirm if its not and its referring to  discard of actual email

i have a srcipts like this :

    #$ErrorActionPreference = "STOP"
    $User = "donot_exit_mailbox"
    try{
        Get-Mailbox -Identity $user -ErrorAction Stop
        Write-Host "True"
    }catch{
        Write-Host "False"
    }

when i run it in my powershell console ,it prints error message and "True"

but if i run this in  ISE console (on same server), it just print "False"

I have no idear about this strange error , is this a bug in exchange CMDLET?


My Exchange Server is Exchange 2013 CU22(Version 15.0 (Build 1473.3))

I run this scripts by Remote Exchange Management Shell

Remote Server is Win2K12 R2 with powershell 5.1 installed.

Get-Mailbox always returns AuditEnabled set to true

Hi y'all!
Has anybody had an issue with Get-Mailbox command in the sense that AuditEnabled property is always set to true?
Even when I add a filter for that property -AuditEnabled -eq $false, the resultset is correctly narrowed (contains the right number of records) but every record returned has AuditEnabled set to true.

I refer to Exchange Online.
