Hello everyone.
I thank everyone in advance for reading this post about some doubt that i have about certificates on Exchange Server 2010.
This is the case:
I have 5 Servers for my Exchange enviroment on my enterprise, these servers are:
HTCAS01 and 02 (Cluterized)
MB01 and MB02 (Clusterized)
UM01 (not clusterized)
So im trying to renew the certificates, the local Exchange certificates because they expire on the last days of this month, so i started with the HTCAS certificates, i renewed them with the exchange console, they need the SMTP Service, so i followed the wizard and it was easy, i renewed them and those certificates registered as well on the IIS of the servers, so, HTCAS01 and 02 are fino right now.
Then i moved to MB01 and MB02. I wen to the console and tried to renew them but these certificates have no services on them, if you move to the services tab its says "None" so i cant renew them, nor the IIS as well. So ive start searching for some info and i read that on the MB servers you dont "need" certificates, not the exchange ones at least, so i want to know if this is true, or if there is a way to renew the certificates with "none" services.
