Hi,
May sound like a silly and in turn a somewhat dated question, however I will put it to you anyway.
We currently still have Exchange 2010 (looking to upgrade to 2013 then 365 later this year) and I would like to verify whether our ActiveSync traffic in-transit data is encrypted.
We have Exchange certificates in place and our devices sync with ActiveSync no problem. I have checked my personal device and ran packet captures on it with an app which shows my mail app as using SSL despite there seemingly being no client certificate for our organisation instaled.
We also have the Microsoft-Server-ActiveSync SSL settings in IIS set to 'Require SSL' and 'Client Certificates' set to 'ignore'.
Is there any other way I can check if encryption is in effect or should this suffice?
Many thanks,
Dan
