Good Evening All,
Hope you are well! I was hoping someone could offer some general guidance on the subject of moving E2013 public folders to Exchange Online.
I have an Exchange 2013 Server that holds all roles (CU12 at present with plans to roll out CU13 in a few weeks) which is currently in a Hybrid Configuration with our Office 365 Tenant. I've moved a few mailboxes to office 365 successfully and confirmed communication / mailflow / autodiscover etc.
Legacy Public Folders have already been converted into Exchange 2013 public folders. I have already followed the steps outlined at https://technet.microsoft.com/en-gb/library/dn986544(v=exchg.150).aspx to ensure that Office 365 users can see the on-prem Public Folders "Step 3: Configure Exchange Online users to access Exchange 2013 on-premises public folders".
Unfortunately I've been unable to find ANY information about the process of actually moving Exchange 2013 public folders to Exchange Online - everything seems geared towards legacy folder conversion instead.
Has anyone done this recently and if so, how did you find the process and can you point me in the direction of the relevant guides / faq's? I have seen the thread at https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/office/en-US/de89c4d2-dfb4-4f7f-b7e7-2f0408ac868b/guidance-for-moving-public-folders-from-exchange-2013-cu6-to-office-365?forum=exchangesvrdeploy which says there is no official documentation but I was hoping this had changed in the 2 years since?
Kind regards,
Paul K
